Legal directory submissions: make the most of your effort

Five ways to squeeze more value from your legal directory entries

Chambers Legal Directory Help: making the most of all that effort

Huge amounts of work are put into creating legal directory submissions.  But once submitted they are frequently tucked away in a drawer and forgotten about!

What a waste of effort as so much more can be done with them.  Your Chambers and Legal 500 entries are hugely useful assets and your law firm can generate huge extra value from them in 2018.

Here are five suggestions....

  • Create high impact case studies for your marketing

You will have submitted the details of several clients willing to say nice things about you, not to mention the details of lots of cases where you've done a brilliant job.  These can be turned into case studies.

Case studies are one of the most versatile and high impact marketing tools. If you are having problems getting partners to ask their clients, click here for our guide on getting them to do it!Filing cabinet
  • A briefing pack for everyone in the firm about highs in 2017

With a bit of editing (such as removing the confidential bits) it is a great basis for a "what a wonderful year we've had" briefing pack for everyone in your team... and why not the whole firm.

  • Briefing pack for key suppliers

Concerned that your key suppliers don't know enough about your firm? It may be because you don't tell them enough :)

This is a great opportunity to fix it by turning the firm briefing pack into one for key suppliers.

  • Material for the website

How much of the material in your submissions could be used to update details on your law firm's website? Probably quite a lot.  Make sure your website manager gets a copy, and also think how best to reuse the material online for each of the practices.

  • Reuse the information in proposals and recruiting

There should be lots of useful info in the submission for people preparing proposals and marketing material, not to mention the recruiting team.  Make sure they get a copy of your firm's submission too.

What other ways to do you use for getting more value from your legal directory entries?  Why not add them below in the comments section....
