Maximising the impact of your consultancy's thought leadership - Kelso webinar

By Tim Prizeman, Director - Kelso Consulting (Public Relations agency)

For management consultancies, your most important business asset is yourconsultants and their insights, their experience and the know-how they deliver to solve your clients' complex challenges.

That is why you get lots of repeat assignments from your network of clients.  They have experienced the great work you deliver and are happy to keep reusing and recommending your consultancy.

But it is a different story with prospects outside of your network.  That bond of trust does not exist and it is much harder to get initial meetings, let alone sell.

The best ways for management consultancies to demonstrate this ability to deliver are through case studies of successful projects and thought leadership that shows your consultancy really understands the new trends and challenges facing boards.

Such thought leadership can involve "white papers", research, analysis and other activity that delivers value to the executive reading it, while positioning you as the expert. Discussions and forums can be hugely powerful too.

Many consultancies of all sizes successfully produce regular high-quality content.  With other consultancies it is as different story: sometimes the volume is there but the quality is variable, while from others there is no output... just silence.
