Public Relations agency Kelso Consulting is looking for a talented and ambitious PR professional to join our Thames Valley office in Newbury as a PR Account Manager.
Based in our Newbury HQ in Berkshire the main role is ensuring our clients get regular strong media coverage in national business publications and newspapers together with generally ensuring campaigns and accounts run smoothly and successfully.
Our clients are typically technology, consultancy, financial and legal businesses, and our role involves helping devise and deliver attention-grabbing PR and thought leadership campaigns that build their reputations as leading experts.
The sort of person we are looking for is someone who is already a PR manager or very experienced account executive (or press office equivalent) and is ready to progress their career by taking on more responsibilities as well as broadening their skills.
In addition, we are looking for candidates who a possess:
- Strong writing skills and a good head for statistics
- A sound knowledge of current political and business affairs
- Good project management skills
- Enjoy calling journalists at the national media to place stories
- Plenty of experience using LinkedIn or other social media
- A “can do” attitude
- A strong commitment to improving their skills as a PR practitioner
- Good client relationship management skills
